Sandra somehow combined 3 of Noah's favorite things for his birthday LEGO,pirates and cake. He was happy and a good time was had by all.

Noah's LEGO hockey rink

LEGO was one of my favorite toys as a kid and early on it looks like it might be Noah's too. I have been buying Legos at Value Village and eBay when I can, and even brought home some of my legos I had as a kid. We have been having a lot of fun building things together and Noah always asks if we can build a hockey rink. So we put together this little project and it turned out not to shabby considering our lack of experience. I started a folder on this website as we also built a castle. Will the Oilers ever be just a good team?

Will the Oilers ever just have a good regular season where as fans we wont have to wonder, will we make the playoffs? And if we do, will it come down to the last game of the season? (And by good I mean like a record of 46-27-9 for example) Following the Oilers for my adult life has not really changed other than last years run. The regular season always remains the same.......Inconsistent play, long periods of crappy hockey and then play at times where you think they are the best team in the league. But what I have never seen if a team that resembles a consistently good team thru out the year. There is way to many ups and downs. I'm just hoping that KLowe makes a trade that shakes up the team and lets everyone know that the Oilers mean business, and that last springs run was not a fluke. Will the Oilers wake up this year and have a great second half? Will they fill all the holes at the deadline for another run at Lord Stanley? Or will they miss the playoffs? Only time will tell.

My princess is 2 already!

Well, me and my little girl share the month of November as our birth months and she goes first. A good time was had by all, although Sandra was hoping for a better reaction on her hard work Veggie Tales cake from the kids, it went well. I really think the kids expect cool stuff like the cake and don't even know how close they were to getting a cheesy "happy birthday" store bought one, those crazy kids. Larry and Bob are the best role models the kids got so I hope those crazy vegies don't let us down. And for all those people who haven't went out and got my present............Go out and witness the love of Jesus to 2 or 3 people for me, (make sure to tell God your giving me credit for it though) because I'm only taking treasures in heaven from now on!

Shiver Me Timber

So another halloween, and another year of not finding razor blades in the kids candy. It was a cold one this year but like that will stop any kid from getting candy. I was a little disappointed at not getting any homemade popcorn balls or puffwheat squares like we would as kids, but I guess these days its easier to just buy it. Noah was a pirate and Dally was a flower and Eiljah just was a cute kid with a pumpkin bib on. Sandra made there costumes and I thought she did a great job, cuz it sure beats the generic store bought ones. Anyways the kids had a great time, but we will have a better time eating there candy. Bring on Christmas!!

J.R face in this picture resembles his current hockey career......Ugly. Sure he got a garbage goal lastnite, but I would bet he wont crack double digits in goals this year. Speaking of crack, what was the GM of the yotes (mike "no hockey sense" barrnet") thinking when he signed Jeremy " I rocked in 1994" Roenick, Owen " walking IR" Nolan, and Curtis" my wife even calls me cujo" Joseph? These guys are way past there point of usefulness and everybody but mike apparently knew it, which only leads us to believe they must of had some compromising pictures of mike. My bold prediction for the yotes this year..........27th in the league 7 points out of deadlast, sorry Wayne.
